Position Summary:
The Buyer will be responsible for managing Terraesta’s supply chain to ensure uninterrupted inventory flow for production. This includes maintaining relationships with our eight existing suppliers, identifying and establishing relationships with new suppliers, and negotiating favorable terms and pricing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to forecast inventory needs based on sales projections.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

• Monitor current inventory levels to ensure adequate stocks of microcement materials, fibermesh, pigments, sealants, and other components.
• Collaborate with the production team to understand material requirements and forecast future needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

2. Supplier Management:

• Oversee relationships with the company’s eight existing suppliers, ensuring timely and consistent supply.
• Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Resolve any supply issues, delays, or quality concerns promptly.

3. Sourcing & Procurement:

• Identify and assess potential new suppliers to expand Terraesta’s supplier base and improve cost efficiency.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about material availability, pricing trends, and emerging suppliers.
• Request quotes, analyze proposals, and negotiate terms to secure the best possible prices and delivery conditions.

4. Negotiation & Cost Management:

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize cost savings without compromising on quality.
• Develop strategies to achieve cost reductions, improved lead times, and increased supplier reliability.

5. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
• Maintain comprehensive records of supplier agreements, purchase orders, and transaction histories.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and a track record of securing favorable pricing and terms.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills in both English and Indonesian.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems.
